Position Overview

As the Setup Team Leader, you will lead and direct both Internal and External Setup Teams to ensure efficient and accurate execution of all setup operations across the BRC precinct. You will work closely with the Assistant Front of House Manager to coordinate setup activities, supervise staff, and ensure adherence to schedules and safety protocols.

 

Day to day duties and Responsibilities will be but not limited to

  • Supervise setup team members in all setup activities for events, including race days and business events
  • Provide clear direction to staff, ensuring accurate interpretation of Event Orders and timely completion of tasks
  • Collaborate with other departments, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless event setup
  • Oversee back-of-house tasks such as cleaning outlets and assisting with operational activities as needed
  • Ensure setup schedules are adhered to and communicate any variations to management
  • Plan, organise, and set up operational infrastructure and equipment for events
  • Proactively address obstacles and resolve issues within the Operations team
  • Assist with rostering and approving shifts for setup staff
  • Conduct equipment counts and stocktakes as required
  • Assist with pre-race day paperwork and supervise business events as scheduled
  • Train and develop new team members, ensuring they are properly inducted and guided in their roles

 

A little about you

You will describe yourself as results orientated, deadline driven and enjoy bringing together exceptional experiences. You will have had exposure and experience in event setups, be able to understand event orders, action accordingly and be able to communicate clearly with staff and patrons.

 

In addition to the above you will have a valid car license and previous experience using a rostering platform (eg FoundU) and a truck license would be preferred.
