Role Overview of Ticket Seller

We are seeking enthusiastic and personable Casual Raceday Ticket Sellers to join our team for upcoming racing events. As a Ticket Seller, you will be the first point of contact for customers purchasing tickets at our box office. Your primary responsibilities will include managing ticket sales, handling cash and electronic payments, and providing excellent customer service to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ticket Sales: Efficiently sell tickets to customers at the box office, ensuring accurate and prompt processing of transactions.
  • Customer Service: Greet customers with a friendly demeanor, answer questions about ticket options, race schedules, and venue information, and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash, credit card payments, and process refunds as needed. Maintain accurate records of transactions.
  • Event Information: Stay informed about event details, schedules, and promotions to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Compliance: Follow all company policies and procedures related to ticket sales, cash handling, and customer service.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized ticket sales area, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the box office and assist with any additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Customer Service Skills: Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred. A friendly and professional attitude is essential.
  • Cash Handling Experience: Experience handling cash and electronic payments accurately.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear and helpful information.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in processing transactions and handling cash.
  • Flexibility: Availability to work on race days, including weekends and holidays. Flexibility in scheduling is a plus.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with ticketing software or point-of-sale systems is advantageous, but not required.
