Chef - The Gibson

Are you ready to play? Join our team as a full time Chef at The Gibson.

The Chef reports to the Head Chef and is responsible for assisting chefs to provide the finest quality product which is presented in a timely and efficient manner and at all times maintaining a clean and hygienic workstation. Expand your knowledge on dishes working under our Head Chef, meet new people and join our new Culinary team and contribute to our opening success.

A few of your responsibilities will include:

• Assist Head Chef and other culinary team to ensure all meals are served at appropriate times
• Maintain and re-order stock as required
• Ensure all routines are followed in accordance with company policy and procedures
• Strive to minimise food wastage

What we are looking for:

• Experience in Alacarte restaurants and a fast paced kitchen environment
• High level of cleanliness
• Good clear communication skills, with the ability to take direction
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and ask for assistance when required
• The ability to work evening shifts, including weekends and public holidays(no splits or doubles)

About You:

You will be an experienced Chef with prior experience in assisting a chef in a fast-paced environment. You will be passionate about food and providing a mouth-watering experience for our guests and contributing to fun and collaborative team environment.

Your role will be a valued addition to our team at The Gibson, and critical to meeting our guest expectations daily.
