Role Overview
As our Rostering Coordinator, you’ll play a crucial role in scheduling and managing a large casual workforce to deliver outstanding race day and event experiences. Reporting to the Workforce Planning Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring smooth and efficient staffing that aligns with our standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Operations and key stakeholders to produce timely, accurate, and cost-effective rosters for events.
- Manage relationships with labour hire agencies
- Ensure timesheets are reconciled weekly.
- Provide labour management reporting, including analysis of event performance.
- Maintain the casual staff pool, keeping profiles up to date and managing onboarding/offboarding.
- Serve as the primary contact for rostering enquiries and support staff training coordination.
- Prioritise workload in a dynamic, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
About You
We’re looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a passion for delivering exceptional outcomes. To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- Experience in staff coordination or roster management, ideally within a large, multi-outlet venue.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in software tools such as Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook, and rostering systems.
- Knowledge of the racing or events/hospitality industries (including familiarity with awards and agreements) is highly regarded.
