About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Gardener to join our Grounds and Gardens team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our gardens, nursery, lawns, and landscaped areas to the highest standard. You’ll play a key role in creating beautiful spaces that enhance the Brisbane Racing Club’s stunning venues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain gardens, flower beds, lawns, and tree areas, ensuring they meet high horticultural standards.
- Oversee our on-site nursery, including potting, propagation, and plant care.
- Assist with seasonal planting displays and flower arrangements for race days.
- Perform general maintenance, including mowing, pruning, weeding, and pesticide application (if licensed).
- Work collaboratively with the Grounds and Gardens Supervisor to ensure the grounds are always in top shape.
Requirements:
- Manual driver’s license (preferred).
- Horticultural qualifications or related experience.
- Strong work ethic, team-oriented, and passionate about gardening.
- Willingness to work on Saturdays and during event days as required.
- Pesticide application license (preferred).
