The Chef reports to the Head Chef and is responsible for assisting chefs to provide the finest quality product which is presented in a timely and efficient manner and at all times maintaining a clean and hygienic workstation. Expand your knowledge on dishes working under our Head Chef, meet new people and join our Culinary team and contribute to our success.
A few of your responsibilities will include:
- Assist Head Chef and other culinary team to ensure all meals are served at appropriate times
- Maintain and re-order stock as required
- Ensure all routines are followed in accordance with company policy and procedures
- Strive to minimise food wastage
What we are looking for:
- High level of cleanliness
- Prior proven experience as a cook in a fast paced high volume environment
- Good clear communication skills, with the ability to take direction
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and ask for assistance when required
- Availability to work a rotating 7-day roster (day and night)
About You:
You will be an experienced Cook with prior experience in assisting a chef in a fast-paced environment. You will be passionate about food and providing a mouth-watering experience for our guests and contributing to fun and collaborative team environment.
Your role will be a valued addition to our team at The Gibson, and critical to meeting our guest expectations daily.
