Assistant Accountant

At the Brisbane Racing Club, we are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team at Eagle Farm. This role is perfect for someone early in their accounting career who’s keen to learn, gain hands-on experience and grow within a supportive, close-knit team.

You’ll work closely with experienced finance professionals who are committed to your development, with exposure to a wide range of accounting activities across racing, hospitality and events. With plenty of variety, no two days are the same.

About the Role

You’ll support the finance team with:

• End-of-month journals, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting
• Daily and monthly bank and revenue reconciliations
• Supporting race days, events and community venues
• Working closely with operational teams across the business

This is a hands-on role where you’ll build strong foundations and broaden your skills.

About You

You’ll bring a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance, around one year’s experience in an accounting or finance role (as a minimum), strong attention to detail, intermediate Excel skills, confident learning new systems, a collaborative approach, and an interest in events, hospitality or thoroughbred racing (desirable).
