Brisbane Racing Club is looking for Casual Box Office Ticket Sellers to be the first point of contact for our guests and help deliver a seamless and enjoyable Raceday experience.
About the role
As a Casual Box Office Ticket Seller, you’ll be part of a friendly, high-energy team ensuring every guest has a smooth and enjoyable experience. Your responsibilities will include selling tickets, managing owner collections, assisting with customer enquiries, and supporting front-of-house operations.
Shifts are primarily on Saturday Racedays, typically around 4 hours, with occasional extensions to 4.5–5 hours depending on gate times. Additional shifts may be available during busy pre-event periods or within the Raceday Office, ranging from 4 to 8 hours.
What you’ll do
- Sell Raceday admission tickets via the ticketing platform
- Manage owners ticket collection and issue admission/enclosure passes
- Operate POS systems and handle cash accurately
- Reconcile end-of-day transactions with no variances
- Assist customers with enquiries and ticket resolution
- Communicate ticketing and venue information clearly
- Support basic administrative duties as required
What we’re looking for
- Confident with technology (computers, POS, Microsoft Suite, web browsers)
- Comfortable answering phones and using radios for internal communication
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities
- Friendly, approachable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
- Racing industry knowledge
- Previous box office or ticket selling experience
- Experience with Ticketmaster
