This Stradbroke Season (2 May – 27 June 2026), Eagle Farm Racecourse and Doomben Racecourse will come alive with some of the most prestigious race days on the calendar – and we want you to be part of it.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, passionate individuals to join our casual event team, helping us deliver an outstanding race-day experience across a range of roles.

 

Available Roles

We are hiring for the following casual positions during the Stradbroke Season:

  • Bar Attendant / Supervisor

Love mixing drinks and creating a fun, energetic atmosphere? In this role you’ll be preparing drinks, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring that our bar areas are always clean and organised. The perfect fit for those who enjoy fast-paced environments and are passionate about hospitality. 


Key Responsibilities: Taking orders, preparing drinks, providing top-notch customer service, maintaining cleanliness. 
Qualifications: RSA certificate required. Previous bar or hospitality experience is essential.

 

  • Food & Beverage Attendant / Supervisor / Barista

For those who enjoy providing exceptional customer service while working in food and beverage, this role will keep you busy serving food and drinks across a range of event spaces. You’ll work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service, all while maintaining high hygiene standards. 


Key Responsibilities: Taking orders, serving food and drinks, setting up and cleaning tables, maintaining guest satisfaction. 
Qualifications: RSA certificate required. Previous experience in hospitality is preferred. Barista experience is required for Barista role.

 

  • Cellar Runner

A hands-on role supporting our bar operations behind the scenes. As a Cellar Runner, you’ll ensure bars are fully stocked and running efficiently, helping our front-of-house teams deliver fast and seamless service on busy race days.


Key Responsibilities: Restocking bars, moving kegs and stock, changing kegs, maintaining cellar cleanliness, supporting bar staff during peak periods.
Qualifications: RSA certificate preferred. Ability to undertake manual handling and work in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Additional Requirement: Safety boots/shoes must be worn at all times. These are not provided by BRC.

 

  • Door/ Gate Attendant

As the first point of contact for our guests, you’ll greet patrons, manage entry flow, and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment.


Key Responsibilities: Greeting guests, providing directions, supporting safe and efficient gate operations.
Qualifications: Previous customer service experience preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills essential.

Assessment sessions are scheduled for:

  • Thursday 26 March – AM & PM
  • Tuesday 31 March – PM & Evening
  • Thursday 9 April – AM & PM
  • Saturday 11 April – AM & PM
