With the construction of a new grandstand and venues and growing the non-race day hospitality business, this is the perfect time to join BRC. To support this growth, we are recruiting a highly organised and proactive Operations Coordinator to join the Hospitality Operations team.
About the Role
As Operations Coordinator you will support the planning and delivery of race days, major carnivals, and events across Brisbane Racing Club’s racecourse venues.
Be central to ensuring operational success before event day - focusing on detailed planning, coordination, and resource alignment, enabling seamless execution. Working closely with the Operations Manager and wider teams, you will play a key role in creating efficient, well-prepared venues and functions that support premium guest experiences.
What You Will Be Doing
- Support the coordination and delivery of pre-event operational planning activities
- Identify and coordinate resource requirements including staff, contractors, equipment, and consumables
- Liaise across departments and key stakeholders
- Coordinate supplier and contractor schedules, including access, bump-in/bump-out, and delivery planning
- Maintain accurate operational documentation including SOPs, floor plans, and run sheets
- Assist with post-event reviews, reporting, and identifying process improvements
- Provide on-the-ground operational support during peak periods and major events as required
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in hospitality operations planning, events coordination, or venue operations
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach
- Confident communicator with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders and teams
- Proactive problem-solver who can identify risks and gaps early
- Adaptable and team-focused, with a willingness to support during peak event periods
- Experience in large-scale or live event environments (highly desirable)
- Current driver’s licence (essential)
- Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (essential)
