About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and client-focused Events Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery of exceptional events, acting as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the entire event lifecycle.

You’ll play a key role in translating client visions into well-executed, commercially sound event experiences, while identifying opportunities to grow revenue and enhance client relationships. This is a fast-paced and rewarding position, ideal for someone who thrives on delivering high-quality outcomes and building lasting connections.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients from initial enquiry through to post-event follow-up
  • Managing the sales inbox and responding to event enquiries in a timely manner
  • Preparing proposals, contracts, and event documentation for raceday, corporate, and private functions
  • Coordinating all aspects of event delivery, including logistics, suppliers, venues, and production
  • Developing event timelines, run sheets, budgets, and forecasts
  • Managing multiple events simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to brand standards
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximise revenue
  • Overseeing event execution and resolving issues or last-minute changes as they arise
  • Preparing costings, invoices, and financial reports while monitoring spend and managing risk
  • Conducting post-event reviews and contributing to continuous improvement and future planning
  • Supporting broader sales initiatives and contributing to account growth strategies

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a similar role within events, hospitality, or a sporting environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first approach
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capability
  • Commercially minded with experience managing budgets and driving revenue outcomes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management systems or similar software
  • Knowledge of the thoroughbred racing industry or events/hospitality sector (highly regarded)
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
