About The Gibson

The Gibson is a vibrant, community-focused venue in Stafford, where great food, sport, entertainment and events come together. We're looking for a confident, hands-on Duty Manager to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of the venue on shift, lead a passionate team and play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our members and guests.

What You'll Be Doing

No two shifts are the same! From busy service periods and gaming operations to events and team leadership, you'll help keep everything running smoothly.

You'll be responsible for:

• Leading from the front: Supporting, motivating and coaching your team to deliver their best.
• Running the show: Overseeing day-to-day operations across food, beverage, gaming and events.
• Creating great experiences: Delivering exceptional customer service and confidently resolving issues as they arise.
• Keeping things on track: Maintaining high standards of safety, compliance and presentation.
• Managing the details: Overseeing opening and closing procedures, cash handling and POS.
• Building a great culture: Creating a positive, accountable and high-performing team environment.

What We're Looking For

You're a natural leader who enjoys being on the floor, making decisions and bringing out the best in people. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, take pride in your work and know how to balance great service with strong operational standards.

You'll bring:

• Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Supervisor or similar hospitality leader.
• Current RMLV and RSG qualifications.
• A sound understanding of liquor licensing, gaming and work health and safety requirements.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and people leadership skills.
• The confidence to make decisions and stay calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
